I have been so busy these days and my research on fashion trends for 2020 is still on the edge. From the little that I know I can say that this year big hooray to al the bold/puffy/voluminous sleeve trend, I just love it so much! Also a big Yes to cute feminine ruffles, short dresses, bralette over a shirt, oversized blazers etc.,

Coming to accessories, hmmm where do I start, layering bangles, chains, mixing metals, kitten heels, strap sandals, pearl jewelry, big sparkly hair bands, bow tie hair pins, saddle bags, reusable shoppers/tote yes and once again Yessssssss!

Simply put, just go watch “Cheers” and see what people are wearing and that’s about everything making a comeback for 2020! Did I mention the not easy to miss sparkly sequined dresses? Am not sure how I feel about that, I might do a milder version but definitely not the runway sparkles ✨ Although in my head I kinda wanna slay that, but, well there it is, not sure how I feel about the sequined dresses πŸ€”πŸ™ƒπŸ˜

Here are a few looks that I put to gather, hope you can find something for yourself! Check out my previous year’s Valentine’s Day look book to see what’s still in my wardrobe and how I have styled them!

Top Trends For Autumn (fall) Winter 2019

Red, pink and done. πŸ˜‹ How cool is this outfit?! πŸ₯³ My new fashion finds and my favorites too!πŸ˜‰ What’s new in your wardrobe? πŸ˜‹

Hello everyone, how’s it going? It feels great to be back after almost a year. I couldn’t resist from posting this look after watching the Emmys 2019. Feeling major inspiration from the red carpet looks, especially the red&pink combination. With this late summer(go home already) where you are not quite ready to introduce fall colors, this pink&red trend creates a perfect look.

A loosely knit chunky sweater (hint hint sweater is on sale) paired with denim and few accessories is a no brainer. In my head I am already dressing up this chunky knit in so many ways for the colder months. Just love the details on this sweater, the puffy sleeves and the cute yet feminine color is just the perfect new addition to the wardrobe.

I didn’t think cowboy style was something for me and then I spot these red boots in the same cowboy style. I just had to dress them up, they had me at the first sight! The very dominant cowboy style is yet wearable this way, which not to forget is one of the top trends of 2019-20.

Hope you enjoyed, stay tuned for more! I sure had fun, looking forward to sharing more of my passion for fashion and bring you along.

The Perfect Summer Evening Look!

No matter how you are feeling, you can never say no to floral elements. In simple words “flowers are mood lifting” don’t you agree? As I tell you to ignore my dark circles, I just love this look so much. The hair, the makeup, the dress, the accessories are just perfect. Considering its summer you definitely do not wanna load up on your makeup, to even it all out adding a bright lip always helps. Also added a bit of  bronzing tint, it adds a little bit of dimension and warmth making it a perfect evening look. As we were wandering around the streets of Vegas, I still wanted to keep everything practical and comfortable.

This floral top had my heat the first time I laid eyes on it, I had already started to style the top in my head while on my way to the billing counter. Although I have been talking a lot about how we obsess over black and never explore colors, this top made sense. I can literally wear this everyday and still make it look different every single time, such versatile pieces are key to building a great, long lasting, timeless wardrobe.

All kinds of pastel colors are so in trend and blush pink is one of its kind. And, I had to get this skirt out. This skirt was a little out there for me when I purchased, but I kept it anyway. This cute little skirt is one of my top favorites. That’s because, it looks great, checks off βœ…πŸ“ all the trend factors, it wasn’t a big investment (although I would hate myself if something happened to this, so I take very good care so it lasts longer), it is comfortable, fits perfect and stays in place unlike some skirts that just roll right up as you walk (so not cool) which makes it more likely to be put to use. You must have seen me wear this before, way long ago on Instagram feeds.

Fun fact: when I purchased this skirt I could barely fit into it, but I loved it a little too much to return. So I held on to it thinking “hmm I should be able to fit into it some day”. Luckily enough I did, πŸ’ƒπŸΌand this time I had to pin it as it’s a little loose now.

It was just a glimpse of hope and it turned out pretty great. I have always loved matching my shoe with a handbag, this clearly is an example of that. All these products are easily accessible and affordable. I will leave a couple of links to similar products for you to shop, these are some of best deals you will find.

No Regrets! FRIES FOR LIFE (low cal & healthy)

Just as requested, here is how I made the healthy substitute for the traditional white potatoes deep fried fries. 🍟 πŸ˜ŒπŸ’πŸ½β€β™€οΈ Hope you enjoy these as much as I did, do tag me & let me know how you liked it. Any questions or doubts leave them in comments, will answer them for sure.

Typically 1 serving of McDonald’s French Fries (Medium) = 340 calories where more then 50% of it is just fats, not the good kind. On the other hand these yam fries are around 200 to 250 calories per serving + you get all the additional nutrients that our body needs on an everyday basis that are naturally present in yam. (more info on yam belowπŸ“Œ) This way you still enjoy fries & also do some good to your body by providing all the essential vitamins. πŸ πŸ’ƒπŸΌ

It is so simple to make these, I can’t even call it a “recipe”, but definitely no compromise on the taste. This is probably the only guilt free fries ever, easy to make, tastes good, very little to no oil, low in calories, nothing but good benefits for your health and treat for your taste buds.πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Ingredients & Prepping:

  • Preheat oven to 350Β°C
  • Two cups yam cut into julienne
  • Sea Salt & Black pepper to taste
  • Coriander powder (coriander seed health benefits)
  • Coconut Oil to bake/Olive Oil for drizzle
  • Mustard or hummus for dipping or some homemade marinara sauce or guacamole will taste delicious πŸ˜‹

Instructions: In a bowl add all the cut yam with desired seasoning, although less salt should be good. Mix well, spread everything over a baking sheet evenly. If you are using coconut oil you can drizzle some now, if using olive oil drizzle some after the baking is complete. Bake this for 10 to 15mins at 350Β°C check on them after & continue to bake for another 5mins if needed. They will be done pretty quickly, keep an eye on them.

If there are leftovers you can totally use them the next day as a lil snack, place them under the broiler for just 3 to 4mins and done that’s your healthy lil snack in no time. They will get crispy at this point. πŸ˜‹

πŸ“ŒYam Nutrition: Yam is a good source of energy and each 100 grams contain 118 calories. It is mainly composed of complex carbohydrates and soluble fiber. It is an excellent source of B complex vitamins like Vitamin B6, Vitamin B1, riboflavin, folic acid, pantothenic acid and niacin. It also contains a good amount of antioxidants and Vitamin C.Β  It provides around 20% of the required Vitamin C in the body per 100 grams. It also contains small amounts of Vitamin A and beta carotene levels. It is a rich source of minerals like copper, potassium, iron, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus. 100 grams of yam provides 816 mg of Potassium.
